Useful MovableType Resources

It may not be an original expression, but there's no reason to reinvent the wheel.

When it comes to customising your movabletype based site you'll probably run into a myriad of little questions and queries. I know I did!

In most cases you're probably not the first person to have a question, so someone may have already answered it.

Where can you find answers?

Official Resources

There is an ever-growing repository of documentation and resources on the MovableType site. While certain areas are still very much "a work in progress" it's a good starting point.

The plugin directory, which I've mentioned several times already, is a recommended bookmark.

Unofficial Resources

One of the things that has always struck me about MovableType users is the wealth of quality information that they are willing to share with others. Many of the plugin authors have written about little tips and tricks they've picked up along the way, so it's worth exploring their sites (you can find the links from the plugin directory).

A few sites I've come across are worth mentioning (if you know of others to add to the list please let me know):

MT Hacks - a collection of MT3.* hacks. Some have been upgraded to work with MT4. Worth exploring.

Learning Movable Type - Lots of tips and tricks from a range of contributors including Byrne Reese, Elise Bauer, Jesse Gardner, Arvind Satyanarayan and others.

MovaLog - Arvind's MT site. Plugins, styling, discussion forum. This site seems to have a bit of everything.

Planet MT - An aggregator of MT related sites

MovableTweak - Tips and tricks

If anyone knows of other sites that should be listed please please please let me know.
