With the official release of MovableType4 due very soon the MovableType developer community has been buzzing with activity.
Last week saw Sixapart running two days of events to cover upgrading and extending the system, which I mentioned elsewhere.
This evening not one, but two new plugins designed specifically for MT4 were released by Mark Carey:
As I mentioned previously, the user interface in MT4 is quite different to its predecessors, so many people may find it attractive to modify its appearance and behaviours.
Mark's also behind one of the more useful and innovative plugins for a blogging platform I've ever seen - MT Plugin Network
The concept behind MT Plugin Network is not complicated, but it is simply brilliant.
Instead of having to go trawling through the various plugin sites to find out what the latest releases and updates are Mark's plugin brings you the information directly to your dashboard.
Very nice!
It always impresses me how much people are willing to share in the community.
